Training

A skilled and motivated workforce is necessary to satisfy the increasing expectations of our clients and industry regulators. To enable us to stay on top of changes in legislation and advances in operational techniques we invest significant resources in staff and corporate development.

Every employee has a structured, monitored training programme which is based on a needs analysis carried out annually and aligned with the principal of continuous improvement.

Safety
Considering the nature of our work, much of our training budget is devoted to health and safety. As part of our Annual Safety Review, a training needs analysis is prepared for each member of staff (operational, management and administrative) at the start of every calendar year which forms the basis for our training programme for the year.

Asbestos
Bi-Annual training and annual refresher training is provided by the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) for all operatives, managers and supervisors involved in asbestos removal.

Demolition
All operatives involved in demolition complete a touch screen Demolition or Plant Operative Safety Awareness course every two years. All our on-site staff hold CITB approved training for Demolition supervisors / operatives, are members of the CSCS or CPCS Plant Operatives & Demolition Operatives Training Scheme and hold current certificates.

General
Site Induction and Toolbox training is delivered for personnel on all new major projects. This provides specific training and guidance relevant to the particular project, with particular reference to any Site Rules or local agreements, which may be different from other projects.
