Clifford Devlin approved by ASPIRE

Demolition contractor, Clifford Devlin, has been approved by Aspire Defence Capital Works (ADCW) to bid for demolition services as part of a ten-year, £1.2billion construction programme for the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

In accomplishing the pre-qualification process, Clifford Devlin is now invited to tender for the demolition of various buildings on MoD sites at Aldershot, Bulford, Larkhill, Perham Down, Tidworth and Warminster in 2010.

Clifford Devlin can also bid for the design and installation of any temporary works and the crushing of waste material for ADCW’s use in the works in the main contract and/or removal of all other demolition arisings from site.

“Clifford Devin were able to demonstrate the experience, expertise, systems performance, managing health and safety and their environmental credentials in demolition that we required,” commented ASPIRE’s Procurement Manager, Hiren Patel.

Clifford Devlin operates an integrated management system which is accredited to ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and OHSAS 18001 (health and safety).

Other infrastructure approvals include Link-Up version 2 (rail) and UVDB Verfiy (utilities).

ASPIRE is a Joint Venture between Carillion and KBR to deliver a 35 year PFI project named Connaught & Allenby which comprises new build and refurbishment works on a variety of facilities for MoD at locations at Aldershot and Salisbury Plain.
