Clifford Devlin nominated for 2 Industry Awards
15-Dec-2009

Clifford Devlin has received official recognition of its performance in 2009 by the industry’s leading publication, Construction News. The London-based demolition contractor has been shortlisted in two categories for the prestigious Specialist Awards 2010.
The company’s success in diversifying its client-base has been rewarded with a nomination for Demolition Contractor of the Year. The company, which has previously specialised in inner-city demolition, has developed its business processes to approach new sectors such as social housing, infrastructure and education. Another key achievement in 2009 was a second consecutive RoSPA Gold award for health and safety.
Its environmental performance has also been recognised with a nomination in the Sustainability category. The company continued to develop and refine its systems for managing waste, pollution and minimising energy consumption during projects.
In October Clifford Devlin became only the second demolition contractor in the UK to sign-up to the construction industry’s “Halving Waste to Landfill” initiative organised by WRAP.
Run by Construction News and with the support of the National Specialist Contractors Council, the Specialists Awards is one of the construction industry's most notable annual events, recognising and rewarding the best specialist contractors in the business. The Awards ceremony will take place on 4 March 2010 at London’s Park Lane Hilton.
