Clifford Devlin scores safety hat-trick

16-Jun-2010

Demolition contractor Clifford Devlin achived a third succesive RoSPA gold award in 2010

For the third consecutive year demolition contractor, Clifford Devlin, has received a Gold Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). The Gold award is the highest available in the annual awards scheme for Occupational Health & Safety Management.
Health & Safety is a particularly important issue for the Company since it specialises in two of the industry’s more dangerous disciplines – demolition and asbestos removal.
Clifford Devlin’s Health and Safety Manager, Paul Clarke-Scholes commented:
“We are thrilled to receive a third gold award which enables us to benchmark our progress and performance each year. We have invested considerable time and effort to refining our safety systems and processes and the award confirms that we are following best practice.”
HSQE Manager Paul Clarke-Scholes received the certificate at special ceremony at the Hilton Metropole Hotel at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre in may 2010.
The RoSPA Safety Awards have been recognising health and safety success for more than 50 years. This key fixture in the health and safety calendar offers organisations an opportunity to demonstrate their ongoing commitment to raising health and safety standards. Candidates are required to complete and submit a questionnaire and key supporting documentation upon which they are assessed.
Clifford Devlin’s Health & Safety management system was accredited against international standard OHSAS 18001 in 2008.
