Clifford Devlin has considerable expertise and experience of providing specialist services and enabling works to support the redevelopment and refurbishment of social and affordable housing.

We provide specialist demolition, asbestos removal and groundwork services to all participants in the supply chain directly to Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Arms Length Management Organisations (ALMOs) and indirectly via surveying practices and Principal Contractors.

We have carried out a number of controlled demolitions of redundant social housing to make way for new developments. Typically this involves the careful, controlled deconstruction of low and medium-rise blocks of flats and site clearance to prepare the location for re-development.

The majority of our asbestos removal work is carried out to support maintenance and refurbishment of social housing. We provide planned and responsive remediation to all types of residential property and have extensive experience of working in occupied premises.

We have the knowledge and disciplines to deliver the additional environmental standards that are often required by these types of projects and we have developed sophisticated systems for minimising the disruption and disturbance to the local community during the works.

We have developed a bespoke training seminar entitled Managing Asbestos for Social Housing Refurbishment in which our epxerts explain how planning can help reduce costs, programme and ehnace resident satisfaction. Suitable for Project Managers, Contracts Managers and Quantity Surveyors.
