Clifford Devlin has expanded the scope of its demolition operations into the Middle-East with the establishment of a permanent presence in the United Arab Emirates.
A partnership agreement has been signed with the construction conglomerate the Bin Moosa Group which will provide local knowledge and expertise. Significant investment has been made in plant and equipment to enable current projects to be resourced and facilitate the controlled expansion of our regional capability.
Some of our UK skills-base has been exported and integrated with local labour to provide the Middle-East construction industry with the highest technical standards available in urban demolition.
For over forty years Clifford Devlin has specialised in delivering logistically difficult, complex city-centre demolition projects in the UK. The additional challenges that arise from confined space and the proximity of sensitive, local receptors such as residential property, offices and retail outlets require ever increasing levels of safety and environmental management to be implemented to mitigate the potential risks associated with city centre demolition, as well as effects of noise, vibration and nuisance dust emission.
It is our intention to offer to the construction industry in the UAE the same level of expertise, safety and environmental awareness that we employ in our UK projects. The company has joined the Build Safe UAE programme which was established to improve health, safety and welfare conditions in the country’s construction industry by raising awareness and communicating best practice.
