Clifford Devlin were appointed to undertake an asbestos removal project at Broadwater Farm Estate in North London. The project involved the safe removal of asbestos containing materials (ACMs) from the Northolt block, a residential building spanning 17 floors and 102 flats, including communal areas such as stairwells and lobby spaces.
The asbestos removal process encompassed a comprehensive range of tasks, ensuring the health and safety of residents and workers. The key activities included:
- Removing textured coatings (e.g., artex) from ceilings and walls.
- Taking out insulation board panels from doors and other locations.
- Safely removing cement panels, gaskets, and other asbestos containing materials.
Working in partnership with DCK Construction, Clifford Devlin were dedicated to delivering the highest quality of work while minimising disruption to the local community. This was reflected in our our Site Supervisor, Gheorghe, winning 'Employee of the Month' for three consecutive months during the 19 week period on site.
These works were carried out alongside the soft strip and completed in advance of the main demolition phase.
