Client: Maldon Council

Duration: 12 weeks

Location: Maldon, CM9

As part of Maldon District Council’s Promenade Park Management Plan, our Construction, Mechanical and Electrical teams are preparing to refurbish the four brick-built food kiosks alongside Marine Lake.

The project will enhance the appearance, resilience, and functionality of the kiosks while aligning them with the Park’s developing heritage character and improving long-term security and maintenance.

The refurbishment includes new external cladding, upgraded security doors with electrically operated roller shutters, and heritage-style signage and lighting. Roofs will be cleaned and refurbished, rainwater goods replaced, and fascia and soffits upgraded. Rear fencing will provide dedicated storage and bin areas, and redundant external equipment will be removed. The project will also explore the installation of solar panels to support sustainability goals.

The refurbished kiosks will complement the Park’s heritage character, improve the visitor experience, and provide secure, efficient facilities for kiosk operators, supporting Maldon District Council’s commitment to maintaining a high-quality leisure destination.
