Clifford Devlin is proud to celebrate Tim Clifford’s induction into the Demolition Hall of Fame at the British Demolition & Asbestos Awards 2026, recognising his longstanding leadership and contribution to the industry.

The honour was one of two special achievements celebrated by Clifford Devlin at this year’s awards and marked a particularly proud moment for the family business.

Founded by Tim’s father, Peter Clifford, in 1962, Clifford Devlin has a history spanning more than six decades. During that time, the company has developed its demolition expertise and expanded its services to include asbestos removal, construction and refurbishment, supporting clients across a wide range of sectors.

Tim’s own journey with the business began in 1978. Joining the company his father had established, he began a career that would see him help carry the family legacy forward through decades of change within both the business and the wider industry.

After becoming Managing Director in 1995, Tim worked alongside his sister, Siobhan Clifford, and brother-in-law, Les Rose, to build on those foundations. Together, they helped shape Clifford Devlin into the business it is today, combining the continuity of family leadership with a commitment to developing the company’s people and capabilities.

Tim’s career has spanned a period of considerable change in demolition, from advances in equipment and working methods to increasing expectations around safety, environmental responsibility and technical delivery. His longstanding involvement in the business connects its early history with the specialist services and expertise it offers today.

That continuity is an important part of Clifford Devlin’s story. Behind the projects and business milestones are generations of people who have contributed their skills, experience and commitment. Tim’s leadership and dedication have had a lasting influence on those people and on the company they have helped to build.

His induction into the Demolition Hall of Fame recognises a contribution extending well beyond any individual project. It celebrates decades of commitment to Clifford Devlin, the continuation of a family legacy and his contribution to the wider demolition and asbestos industry.

For everyone at Clifford Devlin, the award is an opportunity to reflect on that history and celebrate Tim’s part in it. From joining the family business in 1978 to receiving this honour in 2026, his journey represents almost five decades of dedication. Congratulations, Tim, on this well-deserved recognition.
