Clifford Devlin is delighted to celebrate Kamal Radji’s success at the British Demolition & Asbestos Awards 2026, where he was named Demolition Apprentice of the Year.

The award was one of two special achievements celebrated by the company on the night, recognising Kamal’s commitment, determination and progress since joining Clifford Devlin in 2022.

Kamal joined the business as a returning citizen through our commitment to providing employment opportunities for people who face barriers to work. With no previous demolition experience, he began learning the trade from the ground up, gaining practical experience on site and taking every opportunity to develop his skills, knowledge and confidence.

Supported by his colleagues and structured apprenticeship training, Kamal has worked hard to build his career. In 2026, he successfully completed his Level 2 Demolition Operative Apprenticeship with Distinction and became a qualified Blue Card operative.

His Demolition Apprentice of the Year award recognises not only these qualifications, but also the resilience, work ethic and positive attitude he has demonstrated throughout his journey.

At Clifford Devlin, we believe that access to meaningful employment and training can make a lasting difference. Kamal’s achievements demonstrate the value of opening doors to people who face barriers to employment, alongside the personal commitment needed to turn that opportunity into a successful career.

Everyone at Clifford Devlin is incredibly proud of Kamal and all he has achieved.
