1962       Clifford Devlin Transport Limited established


1965       Starts providing demolition services


1969       Peter Clifford takes overall control of the company


1970      Becomes corporate member of NFDC


1972       Moves base to Stepney (East London)


1984      Asbestos Division established (awarded 5-year Asbestos Removal license by HSE)


1986       Achieves full membership with ARCA


1989       Company moves base to a 2-acre site in Bow with newly built offices and workshop


1990       Our Asbestos Waste Transfer Station in Bow opens


1992       Clifford Construction Limited established


1994      Building Division established


1997       Registration to BS-EN (ISO) 9001

Company changes name to Clifford Devlin Limited


1998       Tim Clifford becomes Managing Director


1999       First £1m+ project (Mayfair Place)


2006      Tier-2 contractor status for 2012 Olympic project


2007      Registration to OHSAS 18001 (now ISO 45001)


2008      Registration to ISO 14001 achieved


2009       Registration to Building Confidence


2010       Founder Peter Clifford passes away


2018       Clifford Devlin gains place on demolition framework for HS2


2020       Clifford Devlin employee Ross Cressingham named Asbestos Operative of the Year by ARCA


2020       Company awarded Gold Medal by RoSPA for 5 consecutive gold awards for health & safety


2021       Clifford Devlin becomes an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT)


2021       Company moves to new purpose-built facility in Thurrock, Essex
